Foreigners are eager to experience and learn more about the Chinese workplace. As a partner of the "Experience the Chinese workplace Project" organized by University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) ,Reindeer Station provide an internship of marketing ,hoping this opportunity can enable foreign students from UNNC to have an immersive experience of workplaces in China and further promote Ningbo's international development.

My time here at Reindeer Station has been one that I can reflect on in the future and say that I have learnt a lot. I was part of Reindeer’s marketing team for two short weeks which allowed me to get a good understanding of how the company operates, what the Chinese workplace is like, and a good idea of what it would be like if I were to choose a marketing job in the future.
July 1st,the first day I arrived here at Reindeer Station on Renmin lu, I was warmly welcomed by all the employees and given a thorough introduction to the business in relation to services that they provide to expats in Ningbo. This all caught my interest because all the work they do is quite relevant for me as an expat in China. I recently sent a lot of my belongings home to my country before I came to Ningbo but I spent a lot of money and exerted a lot of effort trying to get that sorted, however If I had known about such an expat company that could have conveniently transported my belongings like Reindeer could have, then I would have saved a lot of stress.
Vinlin（marketing specialist ) showed me around the company, assigned me tasks and answered any questions that I had in a very clear manner. She helped me with my first task which was to come up with an idea for an article that will be written and later posted on their WeChat and Facebook pages for marketing purposes. After brainstorming for a long a time, we came up with the idea to write about the job opportunities that foreigners have when they come to China. The goal of these articles is to provide useful information to foreigners when scrolling through their WeChat or Facebook news feed, to task and gave what I thought to be some okay pointers for their Facebook page in areas that they can improve on.
My final task was to coopare the two marketing strategies that are used on Facebook and WeChat. I found this task interesting as I learned more about what real life marketing is about and not just what I had studied in textbooks previously.
Overall, for me, interning here has been a very positive experience finally making my debut in the Chinese workplace and learning about a new company. Having this experience going forward is definitely something that employers will be impressed by on my CV.
