To celebrate the upcoming Children's Day, further enrich the children's childhood, enhance the kids' artistic attainment, creative ability, enhance the children's history and culture of the 'Silk Road’in a more vivid way. Understand that the Women’s Federation of Jiangbei District and the Ningbo Museum of Art jointly organized the wonderful nightevent of ‘the MSR, flying dreams’

This Children's Day, we will take everyoneinto a fantasy trip! The role play of the “MSR Road, Flying Dreams” and the interactive stage play “The Art Museum Wonderful Night - Impression MSR” invites you to visit!

We'd like to let children participate in a lively manner and understand the history and significance of the Maritime Silk Road (MSR for short), understand China’s traditional culture, explore children’s imagination and creativity, and engage in creative thinking while learning traditional history and culture.

The Maritime Silk Road is an oceanic passage way between ancient China and foreign traffic, trade and cultural exchanges. It sprouted in Shang and Zhou dynasties, developed in the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States, formed in the Qin and Han dynasties, flourished in the Tang and Song dynasties, and was transformed into the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is the oldest sea route known.

The Maritime Silk Road in China mainly consists of the three main ports of Guangzhou, Quanzhou and Ningbo, and other line ports. In Ningbo, it started at the original steamship terminal (nowNingbo Art Museum).

Bring your baby to visit 2018 to fly the dream of International Children's Day art exhibition and "Father and Son" parent-child art exhibition now! That will not let you down.

Participate in interactive theater

Parents and children will be introduced by the volunteers to the origin of the “MSR” and show everyone the characters in "MAN MAN DU JING LU" …

After the children have played their favorite roles, it's our stage time! You all are small actors in the "Art Gallery Night ? Night Impression", so be sure to come up with your own skills!

Participate in the creation of related origami works on the "MSR"

After familiar with the origin and significance of the MSR, the children could combine them own imagination to create creative works.
